Juz 29: Benefits of Repentance (Istighfar)

Series: 30 days 30 Juz 30 Ayahs
Date: 29 Ramadan 1443
Surah: Surah Nuh 12

وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍۢ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَـٰرًۭا 

supply you with wealth and children, and give you gardens as well as rivers.


While Nuh A.S was telling his nation to do Istighfar, he also mentioned these benefits. 

With the benefits of Akhirah and closeness with Allah, Wordly advantages will also be provided. That is Rain, which is mentioned in previous ayah, Wealth, Children, gardens and rivers. 

In other words, the economy will flourish, busineses will get stable. Individually, a person will become more financially stable and Allah will increase him in man power in terms of children. 

So make a habit of doing Istighfar because nobody is Perfect even the good deeds we do are not perfect, it puts a person out of pessimism plus it has so many other benefits which we have discussed.

Friends Food : Some friends work like food. They give you energy. Encourage you to do good. Motive you to move ahead.  Medicine : Some are like medicine. They console you during your difficult times. Help you out. Stand by you. You remember them at the time of hardship.  Disease : Some are disease. Filled with negative energy. Always backbite about other people. Talk negative. Do negative. Compel you to do negative. This is how Allah depicted the consequences of having a diseased friend in Qur'an: وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًۭا And beware of the Day the wrongdoer will bite his nails in regret and say, “Oh! I wish I had followed the Way along with the Messenger! يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًۭا  Woe to me! I wish I had never taken so-and-so as a close friend.
