Juz 23: Two major leadership qualities

Series: 30 days 30 Juz 30 Ayahs
For 23 Ramadan 1443
Surah: Surah Saad 20

وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُۥ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ ٱلْخِطَابِ 

We strengthened his kingship, and gave him wisdom and sound judgment.


Here Allah SWT is talking about Dawood AS that He has strengthen his kingdom and gave him two important things for his leadership i.e. is wisdom and strong ability to speak decisively. 

What is hikmah?
Taking right decision at the right time. Saying things according to the situation and to be able deeply understand the a scenario. 

What is fasl ul khitab?

Saying a thing that one can easily understand in which right or wrong can easily be distinguished. Taking quick decisions speaking them out clearly i.e. having great communication skills. 

Everyone is a leader some where. So we have to learn these qualities and make dua for them. JazakAllah khair

Friends Food : Some friends work like food. They give you energy. Encourage you to do good. Motive you to move ahead.  Medicine : Some are like medicine. They console you during your difficult times. Help you out. Stand by you. You remember them at the time of hardship.  Disease : Some are disease. Filled with negative energy. Always backbite about other people. Talk negative. Do negative. Compel you to do negative. This is how Allah depicted the consequences of having a diseased friend in Qur'an: وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًۭا And beware of the Day the wrongdoer will bite his nails in regret and say, “Oh! I wish I had followed the Way along with the Messenger! يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًۭا  Woe to me! I wish I had never taken so-and-so as a close friend.
